The Wonderful Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland
Lauterbrunnen is one of the most beautiful places I’ve been in my life – it’s like being in a postcard! Dotted with chalet-style houses and surrounded by lush green fields and towering, snow-capped mountains. Each morning you wake to the soothing sound of water rushing over the cliff edges with the 72 waterfalls around the valley.
One of many things to do in Lauterbrunnen is to simply walk around the town and admire the unique buildings. The village’s main street is lined with hotels, restaurants, cafes, shops selling outdoor gear, souvenir shops and a supermarket and it’s easy enough to spend an hour or two browsing.
